PROJECT OVERVIEW
PROJECT OVERVIEW
FocusBuddy is a virtual co-working platform designed to help remote creatives, developers, and solo workers stay productive through real-time focus sessions—either solo or matched with an accountability partner. It merges habit-building with minimalist UX, backed by intentional design choices and community-driven logic.

The Challenge
The Challenge
In a remote-first world, many solo workers struggle with distraction, isolation, and inconsistent motivation. While productivity tools exist, few offer the social accountability or human connection needed to truly focus—without adding noise or complexity. I wanted to solve this with something simple: a tool that gets out of the way but still keeps you locked in.

WHAT I DID
WHAT I DID
Product Vision & Feature Scoping: Defined the concept of solo vs. matched sessions, goals tracking, and post-session reflections. Scoped the MVP to ship lean and fast using Lovable and Supabase as the backend.

User Flows & UX Design: Designed a frictionless onboarding experience that asks, “What are you working on?” and gets users into focus mode fast. Built intuitive flows for setting goals, starting sessions, syncing with a buddy, and logging outcomes.

No-Code Build with Lovable: Developed and iterated the app frontend with Lovable’s prompt-based framework, integrating logic for room creation, session syncing, and user goal tracking using Supabase.

Feedback & Iteration: Tested with early users in the design/dev space, gathered feedback around clarity and engagement, and refined interface to improve the solo experience and reduce friction for first-time users.

OUTCOMES & IMPACT
OUTCOMES & IMPACT
Successfully shipped MVP in weeks using no-code tools. Early testers praised its calming feel, simplicity, and focus-enhancing layout. Set groundwork for future roadmap: mobile support, session streaks, personal stats, and community integrations.
